Rortary Drilling Bits

Indus Trading range of rotary drilling bits includes geometries and cemented carbide grades for different surface and compressive strengths, abrasiveness, massiveness and homogeneity of rock as well as for various penetration rates and capabilities and characteristics of the drill rig. Innovative bearing technology and improved geometry, materials and machining methods provide longer bearing life. The selection of our rotary drill bits covers both blasthole bits for mining applications and bits suitable for construction and civil engineering applications. The product covers hole diameters from 159 to 406 millimeters (6 ¼ to 16 inches). Both air-cooled and sealed bearings are available, as well as various carbide grades and insert geometries with cutting structures optimized for all conditions.

Advantages:

Indus Trading deck bushings centralize the drill pipe over the hole, prevent misalignment of the bit and drill string, thereby extending tools life. There are two types of deck bushings; static and rotating. Static type bushings are utilized in DTH applications with low drilling string speed. Rotating bushings have an inner guide sleeve that is bearing mounted which allows for the inner guide sleeve to rotate with the drill string at higher penetration rate, resulting in less vibration, torque and drill pipe diameter gouging.

A complete drill string includes at least one drill pipe. Drill pipes are made from joining a pin end tool joint, a mid-body tube and box end tool joint together. Depending on the hardness and abrasiveness of the rock being drilled there are different grades of tube raw material used in the manufacturing of the drill pipes. These include alloy grade steel for hard and abrasive ground conditions while a mild steel tube is utilized in softer or less abrasive applications.

Rotary Drilling Bit Subs

Indus Trading supply you with shock subs and sub adaptors. Our shock subs are designed to lower drilling vibrations and prevent them from being transmitted into the rotary drill head and mast in mid-size to large drilling rigs. The shock sub help reduce or eliminate premature rotary head failure, mast fractures, poor bit life and yield smoother operating conditions. Indus Trading Rotary sub adapters are used to connect the various components throughout the drill string. They provide a range of functions such as changing from one thread form to another (cross-over subs), or reducing wear to the threads of components (thread-saver subs). Indus Trading rotary subs and adaptors are available as a bit (bottom) subs, top (spindle) sub, cross-over subs and thread-saver subs.

Rotary Drilling Stabilizers

There are two different types of stabilizers, the welded and the rotating roller stabilizer. The welded blade stabilizers are commonly used to stabilize and control hole deviation. They provide smoother bores and faster penetration rates due to more efficient bit performance. Roller stabilizers provide more reaming and cutting action than a welded blade stabilizer and are typically used in hard rock environments. Roller stabilizers utilize the largest possible diameter rollers and bearings that are practical for a specified hole size.
